“Well! Summer is here, and its time to  prepare for the season ahead.

Now is a good time to clean out the trunk and throw an old blanket in there. Maybe put a few gallon jugs of water there for those times when you radiator overheats. And then it is time to go to Captain Hooks to find out why your radiator had problems. It should not run dry and if it does, this is a job for Captain Hook. This is also a good time to make sure everything under the hood is okay. While the engine is cold, check the antifreeze in the radiator or overflow bottle. This will come in handy for those hot days ahead.

Remember, do this while the engine is cold, you don’t want to burn yourself. Make sure the antifreeze is a nice crisp color green, red, orange, or blue, or whatever color your vehicle manufacturer recommends. If you are not sure, check with the manufacturer of the product to get the details. Make sure your wiper blades are in good condition and your washer bottle is full to be able to fend off the sun's glare. Carry an extra gallon windshield washer in the trunk just in case, for those long dirty trips. Check all belts, hoses, and wires for any wear.
